ASGA History

Our Association has a rich history. ASGA was formed in 1967 as an outgrowth of the Seniors Division of the Alabama Golf Association's Annual Amateur Championship Tournament.

We hold our Annual Championship Tournament at our summer event. We have three different age groups. We have a 50-69 group, a 70-79 age group and an over 80 group that play three rounds of golf. Medal score determines the winners. Anyone may move up to play in a younger age group.

Our previous Champions are listed in our annual Yearbook, going back to 1967.
